The daily tally of Covid cases in the capital dropped to less than a 100 on Monday, with 89 fresh cases being reported in the past 24 hours. This is the lowest number of single-day cases in 2021. Not just that, the positivity rate — percentage of positive results from tests — was recorded at 0.16%, which is the lowest since the pandemic hit the city. In April third week, Delhi’s positivity rate touched 36% — among the highest in India. According to the state health department, 57,128 tests were conducted across the city in the past 24 hours, which included 45,468 RT-PCR tests and 11,660 via Rapid Antigen Testing.
